• HOW TO BREW — First, take out a small pu-erh tea brick (about 5 grams). (1) Pour in hot water at 300ml/100°C/212°F, and wait for 2 minutes. (2) Pour 160ml/212°F of water into a teacup, let it sit for 2 min. This process is known as “rinsing the tea leaves” and it helps to remove dust and impurities from the surface of the tea leaves. The second brew is ready to serve in 5 seconds.

The history of Pu’er tea can be traced back to more than 2000 years ago, when the village of Pu’er was the first alignment on the “Ancient Tea Horse Road”. In order to maximize the weight of the load, merchants compressed the tea and then discovered that the compressed leaves tasted better.

The wet heap fermentation of ripe puerh takes longer and involves microorganisms, so it can have a slightly woody, deep, earthy flavor. If you don’t like this flavor, we have many more teas to choose from.
